Free Keyword Research Guide.

Keyword research is one of the most important aspects of Search Engine Optimization and Marketing practices. After the Online Marketing Research has been done (checking for the viability and feasibility of your idea on the Web), keyword research becomes the most important part of the process.

Keyword research is the process of determining what keywords are used in search engines by potential customers, what core terms your site will be built upon and what keywords will help you most with your online marketing efforts, bringing your Website related, quality and targeted traffic.

As a SEO newbie, I keep looking for resources to broaden my knowledge. I found a good resource that takes us throughout the keyword research process, offering us a complementary perspective of it; it’s a guide to gathering, sorting and organizing keywords…

So I invite you to check the free Keyword Research Guide it’s a PDF document which considers the following aspects:

1. Why Keyword Research is Important
2. Gathering Keywords:
2.1 Finding Core Terms
2.1.1 Researching Core Terms
2.1.2 Sorting Core Terms
2.2 Finding Search Phrases
3. Sorting & Selecting Keywords
3.1 Keywords that Convert
3.2 Volume Keywords
4. Organizing Keywords
4.1 Keyword / Page Organization

Gathering Keywords: Shows us the initial process of finding the right keywords for our Website without going into much detail into the process, it assumes we have already some basic knowledge of the process.

Sorting & Selecting Keywords: Here is where I start seeing a different perspective of the regular keyword research guides I have seen before, it shows us the actual process of sorting and selecting relevant and most important keywords for our site.

Organizing Keywords: This is another important aspect I have found on this guide; this is the first one I have seen that actually tells us how to organize the keywords to achieve better Search Engine rankings and bring targeted, quality traffic to our sites.

I’m sure it will build up your knowledge and will give you a wider perspective of the Keyword Research process.

P.S. Always be critical with any information you find on the Internet, take what you think it’s best for your Search Engine Optimization and Marketing efforts and leave any doubtful resource or information behind. Remember it’s always a trial and error experience. So start building your own knowledge, the one you have seen works better for you.
